AppHandoff (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our Lovable-to-Next.js conversion service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly — your GitHub username, email address, and repository metadata (names, file structure, branch info). We do not access or store your source code beyond what's needed for the conversion pipeline. Repository content is processed in-memory and not persisted after PR creation.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate the conversion pipeline, generate readiness reports, create pull requests on your behalf, and communicate with you about your account. We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our services.

3. GitHub Permissions

Our GitHub App requests read access to repository contents and metadata, and write access to pull requests, checks, and issues. We follow the principle of least privilege and only request permissions necessary for the pipeline to function.

4. Data Storage & Security

Account data is stored in encrypted databases. Conversion artifacts (AST transforms, route maps) are ephemeral and deleted after PR creation. We use TLS for all data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest.

5. Third-Party Services

We use GitHub for repository access and PR management, Stripe for payment processing, and standard infrastructure providers for hosting. We do not sell your data to third parties.

6. Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Readiness reports are stored for 90 days. You can request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You can access, update, or delete your personal data at any time. You can revoke the GitHub App's access from your GitHub settings. EU users have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to be forgotten.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or through the dashboard. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
